2 cups chick peas, cooked or canned
¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2/3 cup water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced or pureed with a chef knife
½ teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt
In a blender, puree chick peas with lemon juice; add water as needed to keep blending. Add remaining ingredients, puree to a creamy paste. Serve with whole wheat bread or wheat crackers. Or cut up vegetables and use hummus as a dip.
